The Sigma Phi Epsilon Texas Alpha Chapter at the University of Texas at Austin

Senior Dinner

senior-dinnerThis TXA tradition was initiated eight years ago by Craig Lill, Indiana Alpha ’02. It’s a final chance for the AVC to thank departing seniors for their service and membership of the previous four years. It is also celebrates the transition of these young men into alumni status. The event takes place on Monday prior to Spring finals each May and has been held at Moonshine Grill on Red River.



In July of 2013 Texas Alpha sent 15 actives and 7 alumni to Grapevine, Texas to represent our chapter in the 53rd biannual Grand Chapter Conclave. Members attended leadership seminars and banquets celebrating SigEp’s success throughout the four day event. The weekend culminated with the Texas Alpha Education Foundation out bidding all other chapters to purchase the Conclave flag. The purchase was made in honor of Brother John K. Tyler, ’63, for his decades of service.

SigEp Dodgeball Tournament

dodgeball tournamentThis February, the Texas Alpha Sigma Phi Epsilon chapter held their annual Dodgeball Tournament philanthropy event. Nearly forty teams came out to enjoy a fun day of dodgeball and tacos, all in support of a great cause. The event benefitted 1 Million 4 Anna, a foundation dedicated to the eradication of Ewing’s Sarcoma and the support of its victims with scholarship funding and a deeply supportive community. Texas Alpha was happy to have raised $4,600 in support of the cause.
